HELP
As with most things there are bound to be times when you are stuck with something on these blogs and need some help. This page attempts to answer some of the common problems that people have come across.
COMMENTING TO FAST
Sometimes when you have finished writing your comment and then you click the “submit” button to publish the comment you get a message back saying that you are commetning to fast. This is because there are a lot of people commenting at the same time. All you need to do is press the back button in your browser and then click submit again. Keep doing this until the submit is successful.
CAN’T LOG IN OR COMMENT
To login to the blogs you firstly need to visit the login page. Enter you username and password that you received through email into the boxes and click submit. If this doesn’t work it means that your username and/or password are incorrect. You will need to ask your teacher or contact the Ribblesdale Blogging Team to have your details reset.
COMMENT WILL NOT SUBMIT
Sometimes when you click the submit button after you have written a comment, it does nothing. This is a small bug with Internet Explorer 7. These blogs are best used with Mozilla Firefox, which is also the browser that the school recommends for general use. Download Firefox and using this instead will solve this issue.
VIDEO WILL NOT PLAY
If this is the case there could be two causes. The first is due to a small bug with Internet Explorer 7 and downloading Firefox will solve the problem. The second is that you may not have the latest version of Flash Player from Adobe. Download and install the latest version and try again.
